Size 8 - Flax Ring - Kingman Turquoise, 14k Gold

Of all the summer wildflowers we see out here on our little plot of prairie, I think it’s the flax that most steal my heart. I love to search for their delicate, bobbing blooms in the sea of grasses and pick them out with my eyes like little treasures. In dry years like this one, the flowers are few and, in their rarity, even more precious. Back in June, I went digging through my turquoise collection and came across a pair of Kingman turquoise cabochons. I couldn't help but see the flax flowers, merrily waving in the wind. Naturally, I wrapped a floral cutout around the band and added a little 14k sun above the central bloom - so much of what I love about early summer, wrapped up in metal and stone. •••••••• Details •••••••• This ring measures approximately 15mm x 21mm across the setting.
