Valencia Rd, Tucson, AZ Instructor: Melissa Kay-Steves Experience: Adventurous beginner Totally Tubular: Tube Set Ring Tired of clunky and chunky settings in metal clay? This exciting workshop will teach you how to fabricate sleek and clean tube settings that will make metalsmiths do a double take. Students will first make the tube and then cut the perfect seat in the greenware state to fabricate a sleek tube setting to add to their ring. Then design a wide or narrow ring around your settings. We will go over sizing, open vs. closed bands and various textures to give your ring a regal look. This is a fun class that will set your CZ settings apart and take your designs to a whole new level of sparkle.
