Evergreen tree producing crinkled, somewhat spiny, deep green leaves, silvery bark, and attractive missile-shaped acorns in late summer. To about 25 ft tall with a rounded shape, a tough species for the droughty west. Makes a nice contrast with an olive tree of similar size.
