The donabe created by ceramic artist Ichishiro Nakagawa at the request of Michiko Matsuda embodies the culmination of Matsuda's culinary science. The only type of cooking it cannot perform is deep-frying. Due to its high petalite content, this unique donabe can be washed and immediately put back on the fire. It is suitable for use on direct heat, in the oven, and in the microwave.
