The Lord's Prayer

On the basketball court, on the ball field, on the track - there are countless compounded memories holding hands with my teammates and saying these words after practices and games. In public school, rooted in the Words of Jesus over and over and over. I remember friends coming to know Jesus because of the constant soaking and hearing of His Word spoken daily even when it wasn’t something that happened in their home. I remember telling a foreign exchange student about Jesus for the first time, and it started because of this prayer we repeatedly prayed together. You may have also prayed this prayer a thousand times, and maybe going through the motions of it over time has made it so familiar that the depth and glory of it has faded as well. But oh friend, I invite you to do as I recently did while reading this prayer. Read it SLOW. Very slow. Read it slow and read it 3 times. Say the words, but not in robot-mode. Hear what you are saying.🙏🏼 There’s a reason that He told us to pray this
