The Ambassador Steel FX2™ Fire-Rated series is a durable, attractive steel cabinet with powder-coat finish that stands up to conditions in commercial buildings. Door and Trim are cold rolled steel with white powder-coated finish. The cabinet doors are attached with a continuous hinge and equipped with zinc-plated handle and roller catch. All models have 1-3/4" trim on face and door. The door comes with full panel of clear acrylic glass. Fully-Recessed Cabinet and handle protrude 1-1/8" from the surface. The double tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder-coat finish standard. The tub forms a flange to cover cut edges of wallboard material. Fire-resistant material is sandwiched between the layers of steel. Fire-Rating: The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain one and two hour fire-rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration firestrops.
