Some time ago, Dr. Bill envisioned how to encapsulate the rich flavors of an ice cream parlor in a single malt, enhancing the sweet, creamy vanilla notes in Glenmorangie’s spirit. After extensive experimentation, he and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald combined single malt aged in bourbon casks with our first whisky finished in high-vanillin casks. These specially toasted new oak casks enhanced the vanilla characteristics, resulting in A Tale of Ice Cream, which is filled with notes of ripe peaches, vanilla, and coconut, pushing Glenmorangie’s sweet, fruity flavors to a decadent peak.
