With this diverse and masterful lineup, Chick and the band produced a hugely enjoyable set, at times free and interpretive, and at others locking into a beautiful groove. "The band had just come from Hawaii and Australia and was in the middle of a South African tour. Because we had a performance to play that evening, we took the only available time to record the bands repertoire. There were no overdubs done.
