Chemistry: Calculating with Scientific Notation Print & Digital

Students will be using scientific notation throughout the year, and this lesson is a brief review of scientific notation with the end goal of students performing calculations with scientific notation using their calculators. Students will be converting scientific notation and and performing calculations using scientific notation. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Each of these mathematical calculations are included without using a calculator mainly to emphasize the calculation of units. Then, calculations using the calculator follows giving students lots of practice preforming these calculations with a calculator. The objective is that by the end of the lesson students will be comfortable performing calculations using scientific notation with their calcu
