GOSSAMERLooney Tunes and Warner Brothers Limited Edition Animation CelSigned by CHUCK JONES from 1998 With a Linda Jones Seal and Certificate of Authenticity The 1946 Chuck Jones-directed Merrie melodies short Hare-Raising Hare was a hilarious Bugs Bunny cartoon that featured a "mad scientist" modeled after actor Peter Lorre. The scientist sends his big monster, covered from his head to his sneakers in orange fur, out to eat Bugs for dinner. The monster went unnamed here, but later became known as Gossamer; fondly refer to as "Gossie." In this superb hand-painted limited edition cel, Gossie has been made aware of a theater "audience" watching the cartoon; he screams "PEOPLE" before running off through the walls. In the original cartoon, the scene begins at about the 7:08 mark.  The this 12-field cel is signed by animation legend Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) in the lower right, with a Linda Jones holograph seal in the lower left.
