2021 Mercer Bros. Edge of Heaven Red Blend, Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, WA

From: Horse Heaven Hills in the Columbia Valley, WABlend: 43% Merlot, 35% Syrah, 15% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Mouvedre, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon Taste: This wine leads with aromas and flavors of ripe, black cherry and plum with notes of milk chocolate, coffee and sweet cigar. All of this lends to a balance of plush fruit and powdery tannins in the mid-palate, ending with a long lingering finish with notes of bing cherry and spice. Pairing: Some ideas for pairing include duck, pork, beef, lamb, BBQ, vegetarian, pasta, cheese and chocolate. Now, while all that sounds good, we think there’s nothing like a burger to make you appreciate this wine, so we’re sharing this pairing for good measure: Thin but Juicy Chargrilled Burgers by J.
