"The cabin, to me, is the most special place in the world. Yes. But why? Maybe because within the cabin walls exists a vortex. The cabin is a place of solace and escape away from the outside world. But there are also worlds within the cabin.  They exist in the marbles. These glass orbs roll and slide and clink and, when held up to the light, show us the world from a different perspective. The nice thing about marbles is you can use them for all sorts of games and adventures (as long as you promise not to try to eat them). As a young girl, the swirls of color captivated me. Like nubs of frosting suspended in air, the green, yellow, blue, and red accents of the marbles held my attention and curiosity.  Even though these toys are all over the world, I’ll always have memories of playing with them at the cabin."
