Sunset Wave

Maui Rules. We took this image with our underwater camera from inside the wave looking out. It's at Makena beach also called Big Beach here on Maui. The shore break gets really, really big here. This was a 12 ft high wave which crashes right on the dry sand...needless to say we got pummeled trying to get this shot. We love this one because it was at sunset and you can see the sun's rays coming through behind the clouds through the curl. The sunset also gives the image a very cool color.
