Hedgehog Cactus (Mammillaria sempervivi)

Hedgehog cacti are some of the most ubiquitous and popular cacti in the houseplant trade! Their cure spines are reminiscent of hedgehog spikes, and some even come with fuzzy bellies! Just like other cacti, place your hedgehog cactus in an area where it will receive bright light and only water when the soil is bone dry.  Mammillaria cacti are non-toxic for our furry friends, so they get the "pet safe" stamp of approval! Just beware of the spines that could stick in their skin and cause minor irritation until removed or they fall out on their own. These spines make them unsafe for reptile enclosures.  Plants will ship bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.
