Well, this IS my grandmother‘s skillet and they made them so much lighter and smoother back then. Clara Bell bought her #8 three notch Lodge in the 40‘s before she left Tennessee to move north. This skillet is a #12 and has some beautiful swirls. There is some unevenness in color that will blend with use, and one small dime size of surface pitting that may have been a pattern shift. No damage. It sits flat on all surfaces so perfect for any cook top. Trust us on this one, if you haven‘t used a vintage Lodge (see back of pan heat ring for number of notches) you need to test one out. (testing not available, but you get what we‘re saying...)
