IMPORTANT: This waffle iron has ready to use paddles, and will be perfect for making waffles at camp or for someone that doesn't mind imperfections. The base is gorgeous, BUT IT IS cracked on the ball joint (see picture with circled crack). The base will hold up just fine as is. The paddles have some previous sulfur pitting on them from being used on a wood stove. It does not affect its performance in any way. Its just that someone used it on a stove eye or campfire which created some sulfur pitting.
