The surface is remarkably smooth and will darken with each repeat seasoning. It sits flat and has full contact with glass surfaces. It‘s a fantastic piece for daily use and will display beautifully in your gourmet kitchen. This is priced to sell because it was previously left outside to the elements or had moisture on its surface. The under logo side is PERFECT!
