Handwoven and Deconstructed Scarf, "Grape Shag," 4.5 x 42 inches

This handwoven one-of-a-kind scarf is made using soft cotton and merino wool yarns. Woven using a "windowpane" design, the dimensional scarf is felted in hot water causing the wool to shrink and felt and the cotton to pucker. I then cut into the squares and put the scarf back in the dryer, allowing the cotton to unravel and creating a Scandanavian Rya rug effect. The scarf is very soft, comfy and warm.
