The rich iron oxide patina of this piece is created using rusty metal placed on wet canvas to create interesting marks. Iron is a grounding element, and the very core of our planet is composed of molten iron. The rebar art keeps us connected to the Earth plane, has a grounding influence, and evokes a sense of safety, security, stability and well-being. The black marks were created using Ironbark Eucalyptus leaves.
