Uncle Nearest was the enslaved man that taught Jack Daniel how to distill. Fawn Weaver, the founder of Uncle Nearest, launched the Nearest Green Foundation to promote his legacy, even buying the farm where the Nearest taught Jack. The whiskey utilizes the Lincoln County process which was developed by Nearest himself.  On the nose, you get cooked grain, candied citrus peel, baking spices, and ethanol. On the palate, you get a ton of baking spice, oak, and citrus.
