"Torso 2009" - Polymer photogravure print - Edition 2021

 As many of you may know I for many years I made photographs of the nude figure and printed the work in platinum metals. I work far less in this genre now and make few new negatives like these.  I have been enjoying going back to the archive and selecting my favorite work to apply printmaking methods and looking at the work in a new medium. This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Gamblin bone black and sepia ink, on Rives BFK paper.  I decided on a chine collé with Awagami Kitakata.  and an edition of 9 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints.    Hand made by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 9 chine collé 7-1/2 x 9-1/2 on an 11x15 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
