I do not often make pictures of flowers. When I do find myself making a still life photograph with botanicals it is usually a result of my overwhelming desire to make work and a casual volunteer showing up in my view. I probably do not think about them as flowers but instead as feelings and visual shapes and textures. These poppies were appropriated from my neighbors garden on this summer day. This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with 55981 Black, Bistre, and sanguine inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints. Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 8 6.25 x 8 inches on an 11 x 15.5 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
