Rose Buds on Washi - Polymer photogravure print - Edition 2021

 " Rose Buds on Washi " is an edition of prints unlike any before it in my  Edition 2021 series. I made these prints on a very light and translucent Washi made by Awagami called Okawara Pro. This paper is very light and delicate and has a slightly undulating surface, not unlike the dried rose buds that are the subject.  When the translucent paper is viewed laying atop another sheet of paper the image takes on a feeling of depth that must be seen, and in my opinion felt.   This set of prints is very dear to me and speaks of the delicate and timeless life that I strive to breathe into my photographs. Be well, Ray Bidegain   This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Gamblin bone Black and sepia ink, with a dash of Charbonnel Sanguine ink on Awagami Okawara Pro Washi. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and 4 A/P prints.  Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 9 5.0 x 6.50 on an 11x15 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
