Quiet Bridge, Scotland - photogravure print - The Weekly Edition
In 2009, I undertook a 3-week photographic commission in Scotland. I had freedom to travel around and make pictures of the landscape and castles. When I think about working in the land my overall feeling is busy. This is why I am drawn to quiet views, simple scenes that bring me comfort when I view the prints. I am revisiting the negatives from this trip, and like in this case printing some for the first time. This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel Bistre, Noir Carbone, and Sanguine inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints. Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 8 8 x 6.25 inches on an 11 x 15.5 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
