Flight - Polymer photogravure print - Edition 2021

 This photograph " Flight " is from the first photography session I had with the wonderful model/actress Devon. A friend had arranged for us to work in a historic ballroom here in Portland,  The space and light were fantastic and the session was productive.    I have on many occasions wanted to make photographs that include the element of movement and I have many negatives to show for my attempts. Most times the model is, sadly, mostly or completely invisible. This time the camera recorded what I had imagined, I was thrilled.   This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Gamblin Stiff Portland Black and sepia ink, with a dash of Charbonnel Sanguine ink on Arches 88 paper. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints.  Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 8 6.75 x 8.50 on an 11x15 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
