After a….very intense deep re-read of the series, I realized that the territory is large, and the mountains are not within viewing range of Velaris. So, it deserved its own unique painting.I pulled inspiration from so many things to make this painting. Mount Rainier is visible from my neighborhood on clear days, and even after 7 years, I am consistently overwhelmed by its size and how the atmosphere around it bends to its scale.
