We love to have security that things as they are right now will stay that way, but this just simply is not true. The future—personal and collective—is a wild, unpredictable animal. Unlike the other paintings in Horizons, this piece doesn’t offer a path, a reflection, or even a storm to ride out. It offers a blank space. An invitation. A possibility.
