THREE THOUSAND – Roberto Clemente Custom Art Card 1 of 1

This card is part of my #CollageATrois collection, creating a new card using cards from three freshly opened packs. After opening these three packs, I was feeling stumped for a while as to how to proceed. Then, I remembered the work of @laurengoeshere who hand-embroiders Panini Prizm cards. I do not have those skills myself, but it did make me think about the idea of "weaving" a background together. Once I got the vertical strips placed, I realized that adding more to it would be overwhelming, so I created to black stripe accents to help elevate Clemente's figure a little, and added some layers beneath him to create a slight shadowbox effect. THREE THOUSAND is probably my best work so far from a personal innovation standpoint.
