ROOKIE SERIAL – Julio Rodriguez Custom Rookie Art Card 1 of 1
One of my all-time favorite sets is UD3, released from Upper Deck in 1997 and 1998 across all four major sports (god, how I miss those days), it featured incredibly innovative printing technologies and designs. I ripped a hobby box recently that had four different die-cut parallels inside, and after realizing I had not yet remixed a die-cut card, I went to work right away. As a Portland resident, Julio Rodriguez is the biggest "local" baseball name, and one of the hottest names in the game no matter where you live. Although I am an Angels fan, I find it really easy to root for Julio as a player, and his swag and charisma are matched by very few in the game. He has the potential to be the Ronald Acuna of the PNW, which I used to fuel my excitement while creating this piece. This hand-made, one-of-one, custom trading card is composed from: 1998 Upper Deck UD3 Base Die-Cut #71 Eric Karros /2000 (border, serial) 2020 Bowman Prospects Camo #BP-19 Julio Rodriguez (player) 1986 Fleer Team
