The Redi-Edge Tactical started as a request from the United States Army Rangers in 2001. Klawhorn Industries was asked to create a tool that the men could easily carry with them wherever they went. The very first Tactical was about twice the size of the one today, but over time it evolved into a smaller, more functional tool. Additionally, the Redi-Edge Tactical was the first sharpener to introduce our Ceramitized coating for extra protection. If there was ever a sharpener that could do it all, the Redi-Edge Tactical is it: sharpening, honing, and polishing all in one. Our Duromite cutters are harder than any cutlery steel, which means you will get the perfect edge every time with very little effort. The Ceramitized coating will protect your sharpener no matter where your adventures take you. You can even sharpen your hooks and needles on the convenient V-groove located on the bottom. The Redi-Edge Tactical Sharpener Set contains a sharpener with a 30° inclusive angle for sharpening filet and boning knives, a sharpener with a 40° inclusive angle for sharpening most of the knives on the market today and a sharpener with a 60° inclusive angle for sharpening tactical or broad shouldered knives.
