Day 11 of “My Heart”8x8 - Gallery wrapped canvasToday is the eleventh day of 28 days of daily paintings that will drop first thing each morning. Each day, I’ll tell a little bit about my story as an artist and how it makes me who I am. I hope in sharing these little pieces of my heart, you will know how much painting means to me.With the world shutting down, I threw myself into painting. I even repainted my studio! However, my collection had launched at a time when people were unsure about their future. It was a time to be prudent and not spend money on “luxuries” like art. I was heartbroken as all these beauties sat in my home…unpurchased. Even though I felt I had done everything right, it felt like a major failure. I could have just thrown in the towel right then and there. Who was I, that anyone would even notice my work? I’m so thankful I didn’t let this discourage me. Onward and upward!
