Franklinia alatamaha, Franklinia/Franklin Tree

A small deciduous flowering tree native to the southeastern United States that has beautiful fall color and fragrant blooms in spring. We recommend keeping it in an appropriately sized pot, where it grows well. In the ground it is susceptible to root problems.  It needs well drained acidic soil and full sun, with some protection from afternoon sun in the summer as it is not drought tolerant.
