Classic, bold Pyrex mixing bowl in beautiful blue. An essential and delight for every kitchen. In good vintage condition. No major defects but shows some signs of age.  Measurements: 5 3/4” diameter x 3 1/4” tall Pyrex was created by Corning Glass Works in the early 20th century. The technology, low expansion  borosilicate glass, was originally developed for industrial use in things like lantern globes and battery jars but was soon recognized for its potential use in cookware. Pyrex was a safe, durable, and could stand both high oven temperatures and refrigeration. The version of pyrex that is still known and loved today came to be in 1945, with the first release of colorful, nesting, mixing bowls. Pyrex continued to release new and limited edition colors and patterns of cookware through the early 1980s.
