Uncirculated Great Britain Maundy sterling silver 2 pence or 1/2 groat coin. Struck for King George III at the Royal Mint. Certified by NGC to UNC Details Scratches (well blended and not significantly distracting). Colorfully toned with lustrous surfaces (more so than scan shows). Very appealing in hand. Bull English Silver Coinage 2237 (rated as R = Rare), Spink-3757. From the elusive Maundy year set where thin script was used for the denomination numerals, thus the nickname "wire money".
