Legend & Lore  |  The Dullahan   The Dullahan is a type of legendary creature in Irish folklore. He is sometimes depicted as a man, sometimes as a woman. Portrayed as a headless horseman, typically on a black horse, and he is either a headless body without a head or he carries his own head in his hand or under his arm. Some say, a Dullahan can see thru the eyes of its severed head. While others hold to the notion that a Dullahan strikes out at his victim's eyes, using a whip crafted from a human spine, in anger - for the lack of his own ability to see.  A Dullahan may also be seen driving a horse-drawn carriage, known as the Death Coach, out of graveyards.
