A botanical tradition since 1792. Maison Louis Marie is the result of a long, storied family history with scent, beginning with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars: a pioneer in French botanical history who, while in exile during the French Revolution, discovered a vast array of plant specimens. Traveling across Madagascar, La Reunion and the Mauritius Islands, he collected over 2,000 specimens to bring back to France.  Two hundred years later, Marie du Petite Thouars was also drawn to botanicals, experimenting with scents in her mother’s greenhouse in Belgium. Years later, Maison Louis Marie was born. Using the rich botanical history of her family as her inspiration and guide, Marie—in collaboration with her husband, Matthew Berdson—has created a line of luxury candles, perfumes and skincare that focuses on illustrious scents imbued with unique floral fragrances.
