Estimated Lead Times 3-5 Weeks The Minuteman Carrier and Polyethylene Plate Bundle has the perfect minimalist design with Level III ballistic protection. While maintaining a slim profile, the carrier is designed to carry 10"X12" plates. There are six rows of MOLLE/PALS style webbing with built-in matching loop material on the top three rows for attaching patches or other items. Made one size to fit most, the shoulder and waist straps are highly adjustable, providing a snug fit for any wearer. The carrier also includes removable mesh shoulder pads, providing additional comfort for extended periods of use. The inside of the carrier is mesh-lined, providing even more breathability and comfort. The Minuteman armor plate carrier is constructed from top-tier mil-spec material and is made to withstand whatever is thrown its way. The ballistic body armor plates are made of polyethylene. At only 3.5 pounds, this Level III armor provides you with rife-rated protection at half the weight of steel and ceramic plates. The plates are also designed to be buoyant and float in water. The lightweight, multicurve design provides maximum comfort and mobility for any conditions. Predator Armor's Level III Poly Plate is notably thinner than the competition, at only 0.8" thick. Polyethylene plates do not have issues with spalling or fragmentation like other body armor variants, as the materials naturally contain any ricochet projectiles caused by a bullet striking the plate. Poly plates are made by pressing multiple layers of ultra-high-molecular-weight-polyethylene (UHMWPE) material under extreme pressure and heat, which bonds the multiple layers of polyethylene materials together and hardens to provide the ultimate protection for the weight. A bullet traveling at high velocity will be captured in the hardened material, partially melting the polyethylene and allowing it to travel slightly into the plate itself. It will then be stopped by the remaining layers and become captured in the UHMWPE material. These plates come with a base coat that aesthetically enhances the plate and provides durable characteristics. This coating does not provide fragmentation mitigation. All plates have the option to add a Kevlar lining, which provides fragmentation and spalling containment and even enhances the performance of the armor.
