(23cm)Condition: minor abrasions, o.a. very good! A finely wrought large Ming-bronze. Exquisitely cast with hand traced floral motifs, brilliant gold gild with copper-annoy bronze patina, representing Avalokiteshvara in prince attire, seated in Padmasana Asana, above a 26 petals double-lotus throne. The Bodhisattva of Compassion is depicted with a five-pointed crown adorned with jeweled earrings, strings of necklaces, bracelets, anklets, floating celestial scarves, and two delicate new bloom lotus flowers by his shoulders. In front of his chest, hands displaying the Dharmachakra Mudra 法輪 in a complex arrangement of delicately articulated fingers denoting the First Sermon of the Historic Buddha in the forest Sarnath, where the Buddhist Law was first revealed to all sentience. Avalokiteshvara is considered the patron bodhisa
