Cubaris sp. 'citrus'
This is a color and pattern mutation of Cubaris sp. ‘panda king’. This mutation was first isolated in Thailand but received little attention. We were the first to create a true breeding colony of this morph outside of Thailand and gave them their current hobby name. They are a small, undescribed species from Thailand. They can adapt to a wide range of ventilation conditions, however, maintaining humidity and soil moisture is crucial because dry conditions can be fatal. It usually thrives in low ventilation and moist conditions, but excessive moisture with low ventilation can lead to higher mortality rates. This species is quite easy to culture and reproduces rapidly under favorable conditions. They tend to spend more time burrowed than other Thai Armadillidae and are not very active or visible within the enclosure until their numbers increase. Like other Armadillidae, this species can curl into a ball when disturbed.
