Patent Mechanism 1901 "Graven" Silverplate Compact with Mechanical Brush

Offered for sale is this unusual patent compact with a mirror, a mechanical brush and a nail file. The compact opens like a purse, and when open a lever raises the bristles of a brush. It is marked "Pat. May 28, 1901 "Graven". The compact is 4 1/2 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide by 1/4 inch thick. It weighs 4 oz. There is also a nail file in an outside slot. A curious survival. Condition: Fair with some brass showing through as shown. There are a couple of extra slots that once held a comb and probably a toothpick that are now empty. Thank you for your interest.
