Essentials Rock Kit

The Essentials Rock Kit includes 20 numbered and hand-selected samples from all over the U.S. representing each of the major rock groups (igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic).  Rocks in this kit include:  Obsidian Pumice Rhyolite Granite Andesite Diorite Basalt Gabbro Conglomerate Sandstone Siltstone Limestone Alabaster Bituminous coal Slate Schist Gneiss Marble Quartzite Hornfels *Specimen's are individually labeled 1-20. Labels are not pictured above.  The specimens are housed in a compartmented tray inside a sturdy box for years of use. A detailed information sheet is included, providing specimen name, location, stratigraphy, description/composition, and uses.
