2 fillets. Approx. 1/2 pound. Farmed-raised in the US, we use gorgeous steelhead trout, hot smoked with soy, lemon, sugar, and garlic for a succulent and savory finish. Try it plain on crackers or mixed-in with cream cheese for a home-made smoked fish spread. We love this steelhead trout because it is free of growth hormones and preventative antibiotics. Additionally, they are fully traceable— starting with brood stock, continuing through egg hatch, grow-out, and processing. Steelhead eat a diet rich in Astaxanthin, a micronutrient that gives ocean-run steelhead their rich red flesh color. Handcrafted On-Site We make all of our Smoked Trout in our boutique smokehouse, located in Portland, ME.
