Neoregelia carcharodon 'Spines' is a highly spiny variant of the Neoregelia carcharodon family, which includes the well-known 'Tiger' cultivar. While this particular clone may not possess intricate markings or vibrant colors, it remains a truly remarkable and exceptionally rare find in cultivation. The leaves of 'Spines' exhibit a uniform bronzy-green hue that takes on a subtle red tint when exposed to intense light. The tips of the leaves are black, with hints of red surrounding the dark areas. Resembling carcharodon 'Silver' in many ways, 'Spines' aptly earns its name due to the elongated and sturdy black spines along the leaf margins. Reaches to an impressive 25 inches wide.
