KH Series heat treat ovens are designed to operate from the North American standard household voltage of 120V.​The KH Series models are very capable of reaching temperature, however they will take about twice as long to get there than a 240V model. Generally speaking they will reach 1650°F in about 1-1/2 hours.​​​​​ Side Opening Door         Heat treating requires the removing of some very hot material from the chamber in order to quench. Everything in the chamber is hot, which includes the door. The doors on the KH's swing out and to the side. This puts the super-heated door well away from you as you concentrate on the work at hand.   The side opening door is an excellent design choice and makes
