God Bless America Sample Lesson

Preschool-6th grade. God Bless America is an overview of the history of the United States of America. It begins with the First Nation people, Native Americans, and continues the story through current events of the day. Founding fathers and heroes are introduced, the fight for freedom is discussed, and the story of America unfolds. Each lesson will acquaint the students with a patriotic song and symbol of the United States.  Age-appropriate activities will reinforce America’s history in the hearts of our children. As the year progresses each child will build their very own timeline marking significant dates in America’s history. This curriculum is intended for a homeschool group. The material is broken up into 13 lessons designed to stretch out throughout the school year, with meetings held roughly twice a month.
