One of the original members of the X-Men, Dr. Hank McCoy is an accomplished chemist and biologist. During his younger years, he attempted to devise a formula to rid himself of his mutant powers, but eventually decided against it. His work, however, was uncovered by those seeking to do mutants harm and was used to almost eradicate mutantkind. Ever since, Beast has dedicated himself to Professor Charles Xavier’s vision of a future where humans and mutants coexist in harmony.
