B+O 2022 Sassafras Hiker

  Released in November 2022, the B + O Sassafras Hiker is the premiere SAK in our geometric, forest line of Signature Series knives.  Designed by Bow and Oake and crafted by Victorinox, we created the Sassafras in honor that great American species of tree that originally lent its flavor to root beer. The Sassafras speaks of creativity and good times. It's mainly found in the eastern U.S. and south-east Canada. It can be identified by its three distinct leaf patterns: the mitten, the eye, and the ghost. It has a rich root beer scent. We grew up gathering Sassafras roots in fall when its unique foliage appears in rich colors of deep orange, scarlet, and purple.  There's nothing like hugging a mug of sweet, fresh sassafras on a chill fall day.  Our Sassafras Hiker channels the striking, unique colors of the Sassafras' fall foliage and the rich, reddish-pink color of the tea.    You can always pick out a Sassafras tree, whatever season.
