What's a Spurtle you may ask? A Spurtle originated as a 15th century Scottish kitchen utensil primarily used for mixing and stirring porridge and a sourdough bread starter. Over time the Spurtle has evolved into a do-it-all utensil. My twist on the Spurtle is these are made from 100% Authentic Tennesee White Oak whiskey barrel staves. Measuring approximately 17" long this utensil is perfect for mixing soups, stews, stir fries, frosting a cake, scrapping your mixer bowl, cooking on cast iron and more. Each one is uniquely hand made soaked in mineral oil and finished with Bosse Woodworks Board Butter.
