Alki - Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Aromas of dark fruit and black currant with notes of spice and vanilla (from aging in oak barrels). This dry red wine shows refined tannins emphasizing the fruit-forward taste of dark fruit with a full-bodied palate and balanced elongated finish. There's a solid tannic backbone here, with Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon joined by 10% Petite Verdot and 5% Malbec. Aromas and flavors of muddled black cherries, lilacs, caramel and cedar are backed by crisp acidity. Tiny notes of menthol and cocoa hover in the background. — Michael Alberty
