Japanese Black Pine For Exposed Root and Root Over Rock

Japanese black pine are among the most prized of bonsai species, with rugged bark, beautiful dark green needles and a predictable and well-documented growth regimen.  These are in 3"x9" deep "Anderson Bands", a type of plastic container designed to create long roots and vigorous growth. The trees have vigorous central leaders with small side buds at the one-year node. The first year's growth has been previously wired to ensure the trunks are not straight. The trees shown are a typical example, trunk size is up to 3/8" (from a standard pencil to a bit bigger) approximate height - 7-18" The photos are representative, and do not show the actual tree you will receive.
